Welcome to my work web page!

I am a professor of Astronomy at the Institute for Radio Astronomy and Astrophysics, located on the Morelia Campus of the National University of Mexico. My main research interests are in radio astronomy, high precision astrometry, and the birth and youth of stars and stellar systems. Please consult my CV and list of publications if you are interested in that. I teach regularly in our astronomy graduate program; you can find information on the courses I have taught following the teaching link of the main menu above.

I am currently the PI of a large VLBA project called the Gould's Belt Distance Survey, aimed at measuring the distance, three-dimensional structure, and kinematics of the most prominent regions of star-formation within 500 pc of the Sun (particularly Ophiuchus, Taurus, Perseus, Serpens, and Orion).
