TaskDL v2.4.0 README

Thank you for your interest in the TaskDL v2.4.0. The TaskDL development 
team welcomes questions, comments, bug reports, and feature requests.

Several demonstrations of TaskDL use are included; you will find IDL .pro
files in the examples/ directory.

The bin/ directory contains several versions of the tdl server executable: 

- tdl -- Linux build (64 bit)
- tdl32 -- Linux build (32 bit)
- tdl_solaris -- Solaris
- tdl_uni -- universal binary for Mac OS X
- tdl_win32 -- Windows 32 bit

The documentation will always refer to the server as tdl; additionally, IDL 
functions that attempt to start the server automatically assume the name tdl;
you may need to create symlinks or rename the installed executable if you 
choose to run TaskDL on platforms other than Linux.

Finally, the Python interface for TaskDL was compiled with Python version 
2.3.5 -- the .pyc files may not work with other versions of Python. If you 
would like to use TaskDL with a different Python interpreter, please email 
support@txcorp.com.
