Latitude D800

This seems to be the high-performance model

Option 1
$21,305.07 with low-end processor (Pentium M 735, 1.70GHz, 2MB L2 cache), 15.4" WXGA screen, 1GB RAM, 60GB hard disk
Option 2
$30,002.13 as (1) but with high-end processor (Pentium M 765, 2.10GHz) and WUXGA screen.

http://arclite.dyndns.org:8080/~chris/d800/d800.html says that Linux (FC2) works fine but needed a custom kernel compile. Nvidia graphics and wireless card seem to work but no mention of software suspend.

There is a kind of web forum devoted to linux on the D800: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/linux-latitude-d800/ that has recent activity. It was started by Nike Hardy, who also has info on the page http://mikehardy.net/linux_latitude_d800/ but it is a bit out of date.

It seems that suspend/resume works with the newer kernels in FC3 and debian unstable. Some people complain about X coming back in a funny state when using the nvidia drivers but this can be fixed by switching virtual terminals. Besides, it seems to go away with later versions of the nvidia drivers.

Monitor

Por ejemplo, Viewsonic VX715 (17 pulgadas) con precio de $5,126

Disco USB
