Feeding results for hydro models into photoionization code (12 May 2005)

Two possibilities:

  1. Use the density structure from the simulations directly.
  2. Have some sort of analytic fit to the density structure in the simulations. Separable in r and z. Function of one parameter only (the curvature of the front).

The second possibility would seem to be more promising.

It is probably best to start with the plane ionization front, since I already have an analytic model for that.

Lateral density distribution

This is easy: latex2png equation

Density distribution along a streamline

It may be easier in the end to assume that this is the same as density distribution in z. The two shouldn't be very different so long as the streamline angle is not large.
