Dr. Gustavo Bruzual and Dr. Susana Lizano ware named National Emeritus Researchers within the National System of Researchers (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, SNI).
According to a press release by the National Council of Science and Technology (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, CONACyT), those named Emeritus Researchers must have a proven outstanding career in their area, must have fundamentally contributed to generate scientific knowledge, must have helped train new generations of researchers, and must have participated in the creation and development of an academic institution or research center in Mexico.
The Institute of Radio Astronomy and Astrophysics (Instituto de Radioastronomía y Astrofísica, IRyA), at UNAM Campus Morelia, congratulates Dr. Susana Lizano and Dr. Gustavo Bruzual, researchers at this Institute, for this worthy recognition to their academic career.
