The Institute of Radio Astronomy and Astrophysics (IRyA) of UNAM, Campus Morelia, signed a collaboration agreement with the College of Psychologists of Michoacán, A. C. on June 12, 2025, to cooperate on the training and psychological care of IRyA’s community, including academic and administrative staff, as well as the student body.
The new agreement establishes that IRyA will promote academic activities, conferences, workshops, and courses to promote the mental health of its staff, while the College of Psychologists of Michoacán will lead these activities and provide support services and psychological care to IRyA staff and their families with preferential rates.
The agreement was signed by Psychologist Aurora Pineda García, President of the Board of Directors of the College of Psychologists of Michoacán, Dr. Luis Alberto Zapata González. Director of IRyA, and Lic. Fidel Ricardo Díaz Díaz, Commissioner of Public Relations and Agreements of the Michoacán College of Psychologists.
After the signing of the agreement, Fidel Ricardo Díaz of the Michoacán College of Psychologists gave the talk "The Importance of Mental Health in University Education" to IRyA’s community.
