MTI Alfonso Ginori did his undergraduate studies in electrical engineering at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH) and his master’s degree in information technology at the Universidad Interamericana para le Desarrollo (UNID), Morelia campus. In 1993 he began his career in computing systems and has been a member of the technical staff at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) since 1997.

He is responsible for the administration and configuration of the high performance computing equipment of the Institute of Radioastronomy and Astrophysics (IRyA), which are used for numerical simulations and for the reduction of radiointerferometric data.

MTI Ginori is a member of the Computing Commission and the Sustainability Commission of the IRyA.
